NGC expands its Business Frontiers
Notwithstanding that NGC is not a gas producer, the company is solely in the business of Gathering, Treatment, Transporting and Marketing of Nigeria’s Natural Gas and its derivatives to end users through pipelines to her numerous consumers. In keeping with its business trust to continuously expand its customer base, NGC has this year (January – July) signed Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with additional 8 new companies.
These include Ava Cement Ltd, Ibom Power, Energy Company of Nigeria for Okipp Ltd (formerly NNMC Oku – Iboku), Paras Energy and Natural Resource Ltd. Others are Metafrique Ltd, Monarch Steel Mills Ltd, Ossiomo Investments Ltd, Energy Company of Nigeria Ltd for Redeem Camp, Ekha Agro Limited and Genesis Electricity Limited (Addendum 1). In addition, NGC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Shareholders Agreement with NIPCO for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Pipeline Natural Gas (PNG) distribution in Benin City
NNPC Bags Laurel at 2011 Kaduna and Enugu International Trade Fair
Trade Fairs are avenues for manufacturers, businessmen, traders and buyers to meet for the purpose of showcasing new and old products, striking business bargains, selling and buying of goods and services. The 32nd Kaduna International Trade Fair was held from February 25th – March 6th, 2011 while the 22nd Edition of the Enugu International Trade Fair took place from March 11th – 21st, 2011. The theme of the Kaduna trade fair was “National Energy Roadmap for Nigeria’s Growth and Development” while the Enugu fair had “Diversification of the Nation’s Economy for Sustainable Development” as its focus. NGC Management Commisions Ubeji Water Project
The Community Ubeji, a community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State was agog with fun and fanfare as NGC Management Commissioned water relief project on the 19th of April, 2011 in the community. Sunday Omatsuli, an indigenous contracting company executed the project on behalf of the community. The Managing Director, Engineer Saidu Aliu Mohammed who physically commissioned the project, in his address, emphasized that dialogue should be embraced at all times to resolve issues and not through confrontation or involvement of third parties. He said further that NGC is a responsible company which is committed to developing a robust and sustainable harmonious relationship with its host communities. He reiterated that NGC shall continue to solicit for the co-operation and assistance in the maintenance of peace and good neighborliness from its host communities which is a prerequisite for NGC’s business growth aspirations.
